Growing Zones

The plan is to have a single permanent bed, and the remaining area broken down into 4 beds for a 4 year plan.

Permanent Bed

Four Year Plan

The four year plan is used to rotate crops so that one area does not build up pests and diseases, and nutrients that one crop type uses is not depleated. The four crop types are broken down into:

Year One - Potatoes

Mention here the 3 types, so first earlies, second earlies and main crop.

Year Two - Legumes

Autumn planting of broad beans. Climbing beans. Other beans.

Year Three - Brassicas & Other Crops

Crop protection.

Year Four - Onions & Roots

Garlic, onion sets, shallots

Beetroot, turnips, swede, carrots
